President Sadyr Zhparov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports, signed on September 23, 2024 in New York City" , according to Kabar.
The presidential press service reported that the law was adopted by the Zhogorku Kenesh on January 30, 2025.
The purpose of the Law is to implement the internal procedures by the Kyrgyz Republic necessary for the entry into force of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and service passports, signed on September 23, 2024 in New York City.
The Agreement provides that citizens - holders of diplomatic and service passports of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Albania will be exempt from visa requirements for entry, stay, exit and transit through the territories of the states parties to the Agreement for a period not exceeding 90 (ninety) days within 180 (one hundred eighty) days from the date of entry.
Ratification of the Agreement will create favorable conditions for the development of business mobility and simplify the movement of citizens - holders of diplomatic and service passports on the territory of the states parties to the Agreement.
