Azerbaijan’s football club Araz-Nakhchivan clinched a 2-1 victory over Greece’s Aris in the first match of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round.
Held at the Liv Bona Dea Arena, the game marked Araz-Nakhchivan’s debut in European competition.
Loren Morón opened the scoring for Aris in the 66th minute, but Araz-Nakhchivan mounted a comeback with goals from Felipe Santos in the 75th minute and Patrick Andrade in the 78th, sealing the win.
The return leg will take place on July 31 in Greece.
