FM strongly condemns PACE’s biased step against Azerbaijan

We strongly condemn the absolutely biased and unacceptable step taken against our country in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) a few days ago,” Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists.

The minister emphasized that the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE had clearly expressed its objections regarding the matter and had conveyed the official position to the members of the organization.

“The primary reason behind such a prejudiced approach against Azerbaijan is the restoration of our territorial integrity and sovereignty. We must assert that differing opinions within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe have always existed regarding the processes in our country. The Azerbaijani delegation has consistently held a suitable position, and throughout ongoing discussions, there have been instances where no consensus was reached on certain issues. Nonetheless, this is part of the working process, which has persisted for 20 years," the minister added.
