A festive event has been held in Washington on the occasion of the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year, the US bureau of Report informs.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani community and local public took part in the evening, organized jointly by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the US and the Azerbaijan-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
At the ceremony, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for their Motherland.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the US Khazar Ibrahim and Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Natig Bakhishov congratulated the participants of the event on the International Solidarity Day of Azerbaijanis and the New Year.
The festive event continued with a musical program.
