Representatives of the Central Army Sports Club competed Sunday in the 1st CISM Open Military Kickboxing Championship in Antalya, Türkiye, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
“Under the leadership of the Central Army Sports Club's officer Major Tofig Niftaliyev, a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the International Military Sports Council, Azerbaijani representatives won 7 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals in various weight categories. In total, Central Army Sports Club's representatives took the first place in the team standings among 11 countries.
Along with Azerbaijani representatives, the championship included participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Poland, Thailand, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan,” the ministry said.
