The latest edition of the Italian version of the “IRS” magazine, a significant platform for disseminating Azerbaijani realities globally and promoting the country’s rich culture and art abroad, has been published.

The magazine highlights that the year 2023 has been declared the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the world-renowned political figure. It underscores Great Leader Heydar Aliyev’s exceptional contribution to restoring Azerbaijan’s independence, strengthening the country’s sovereignty, and enhancing its role on the international stage.

The publication includes an article by Azerbaijani Ambassador to the Holy See Ilgar Mukhtarov, shedding light on the Azerbaijan-Vatican relations based on mutual respect, dialogue, joint cooperation, and shared interest.

In his article, Chairman of the Italy-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group, Senator Marco Scurria discusses the elevation of bilateral relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership. He also highlights Azerbaijan`s successful projects, such as the TAP pipeline, contributing to Europe`s energy security.

The magazine addresses the rights of Azerbaijanis forcibly expelled from Armenia to return to their ancestral lands and delves into the ongoing mine problem in the liberated Azerbaijani territories.
