Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), on the margins of the opening ceremony of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit at COP29 in Baku.
During the meeting, the two expressed their confidence that COP29 would contribute to international efforts aimed at promoting the green agenda.
The Azerbaijani PM mentioned the long-term fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization, as well as successive reforms in the country`s healthcare system. The sides also explored the issues of collaboration in reducing the impacts of climate change on human health.
