The 10th edition of the Baku International Book Fair, organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture, at the Baku Expo Center, featured Tuesday the presentation of the book titled “Heydar Aliyev and Mahammad Fuzuli”.
The book comprises orders and decrees issued by National Leader Heydar Aliyev promoting the legacy of prominent Azerbaijani poet Mahammad Fuzuli, as well as the National Leader’s speeches on the occasions of anniversaries of the Azerbaijani poet.
Addressing the event, Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, noted that the 530th birth anniversary of Mahammad Fuzuli is solemnly celebrated in Azerbaijan, the entire Turkic World, as well as in other countries.
Anar, Azerbaijani People’s writer, highlighted Heydar Aliyev’s efforts in promoting the legacy of Fuzuli in the world. He also described the National Leader as a renowned statesman who admired literature and art.
Other speakers included, Teymur Karimli, General Director of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Isa Habibbayli, ANAS President, and Malik Otarbayev, Advisor to the President of Kazakhstan, as they shared their impressions on the book.
