The Rotunda Roof Garden hosted a concert by Austria’s Simon Raab jazz trio as part of the fourth Baku Piano Festival.
The event featured performances by Simon Raab (piano), Martin Kocián (double bass), and Michał Wierzgoń (drums).
Simon Raab is an Austrian jazz pianist and composer known for his expressive, experimental, and genre-crossing approach to music, blending traditional jazz with modern harmonies. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Austrian Newcomer Award, and has performed at renowned festivals such as the Jazzpianofestival Kalisz and the Akbank Jazz Festival.
“It’s our first time in Azerbaijan. This is a beautiful land, and we’re enjoying being here. It’s an honor for us to be part of the Baku Piano Festival. We’re delighted to have been invited and look forward to a lovely evening, hoping it will be unforgettable,” the Austrian performers told AZERTAC.
The fourth Baku Piano Festival will continue until June 28, featuring artistic events, exhibitions, and jam sessions. The festival particularly highlights the young talents concert, “We Are the Future.”
