BHOS holds Ideathon as part of COP29
The Baku Higher Oil School of SOCAR (BHOS) has held an ideathon on the theme “Bridging the Gap - Youth and Green Jobs Market”.

The event, part of the Baku Climate Action Week, was organized to engage the younger generation in green activities within the framework of COP29.

Rector of Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov, Head for Innovations of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Leyla Seyidzade, and the COP29 Youth Climate Champion for Azerbaijan Leyla Hasanova spoke at the event.

They spoke about the environmental development measures implemented in our country and emphasized the importance of implementing measures aimed at forming an environmental culture in the younger generation. They also spoke about the work being carried out to prepare for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

A total of 15 teams took part in the competition.

Ideathon, organized to increase youth’s interest in the green economy, is an ideal platform for young people to come up with innovative ideas and solutions.
