Almost every second tourist from Central Asian countries arrives in Azerbaijan from Kazakhstan, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel said in an interview with Report.
He noted that the flow of tourists in both directions is growing significantly: “In 2023, almost 60,000 people arrived from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, which means an increase of 90%.”
The diplomat noted that last year the president of Kazakhstan, the chairman of the parliament, the prime minister, the chairmen of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, the National Security Committee, the prosecutor general, presidential advisers, the ministers of foreign affairs, defense, transport, energy, culture and information, emergency situations visited Azerbaijan: “These visits alone demonstrate the high level of our cooperation. Few countries demonstrate such intensity of comprehensive dialogue.”
