A new freight train route connecting China to Azerbaijan was launched today.
The train departed from an international land port in Beijing’s Fangshan district.
Traveling via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor (Middle Corridor), the train is expected to reach Baku in 15 days, delivering cargo 30 days faster than the traditional sea route.
Loaded with spare parts, mechanical equipment, and other goods, the train will travel from Horgos Port to Kazakhstan and then cross the Caspian Sea to Baku. From Baku, part of the freight will continue to Georgia, Türkiye, and Serbia.
