The Azerbaijan State Migration Service (SMS) pays special attention to increasing the level of digitization of services provided to foreigners and other target groups, the head of the SMS Vusal Huseynov said, Report informs.

Vusal Huseynov made the remark during his speech at the Azerbaijan-UAE Ministerial Experience Exchange Forum held in Baku.

He noted that currently, almost all migration-related services in Azerbaijan are available online:

"Today, any interested party can register foreigners, extend temporary residence, obtain and extend work and residence permits using electronic services without leaving their home, office or any other place of residence. The State Migration Service also provides electronic services through the MigAz mobile application.”

The official also pointed out that the efforts aimed at the promotion of digitization in the management of migration, as well as the use of ICT, made it possible to improve the protection of the rights and interests of migrants.
