Azercosmos, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was represented at the Space Technology Conference in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Addressing the conference, Dunay Badirkhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azercosmos, emphasized that 2026 is a special year for the agency, marking the 15th anniversary of its activities. He also underlined that space technologies have become one of the key tools for sustainable development, economic growth, and international cooperation.

Dunay Badirkhanov noted that Azerbaijan has strengthened its position in the space sector in recent years thanks to projects and initiatives implemented with international partners.

As part of the conference, Azercosmos organized a country space briefing focused on the agency’s activities, key priorities, and upcoming tasks.

The agency was also represented at the 5th Meeting of the Heads of Space Agencies of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
