“Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to integrating transport, energy, and digital infrastructure within the framework of the Middle Corridor project. The Trans-Caspian Fiber Optic Cable project is set to deliver high-speed digital connection of up to 300 terabits per second between Asia and Europe, strengthening regional digital integration,” said Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration, as he addressed the panel discussion on "Middle Corridor and Eurasian Connection Gateway" held as part of the 13th Global Baku Forum.

Shahmar Movsumov noted that the “Digital Single Window” system, established under a decree by President Ilham Aliyev, brings together import, export, transit, and logistics procedures on a unified electronic platform and enables integration with neighboring countries.

Movsumov emphasized that these digital initiatives are positioning Azerbaijan as a strategic regional hub not only for cargo and energy flows, but also for information exchange and digital connectivity.
