The Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW 2024) kicked off on Monday.
The inaugural function will feature speeches by Mukhtar Babayev, COP29 President-Designate, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Nigar Arpadarai, Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29, Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy, and Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy. The event will also hear video messages by Simon Stiell, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Katja Dörner, Mayor of Bonn and chair of ICLEI's Climate Action Governance.
Baku Climate Action Week, to run until October 4, will include various sessions.
