Canada’s City of Regina proclaims May 28 as Independence Day of Azerbaijan

On the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, Sandra Masters, Mayor of the City of Regina of Canada’s Saskatchewan province has signed a proclamation designating May 28 as “Independence Day of Azerbaijan” in Regina.

The proclamation reads: “Whereas provisions of Procedure Bylaw No. 9004 provide the Mayor with the authority to approve proclamations.

Now therefore I, Sandra Masters, Mayor of the City of Regina, do hereby proclaim the day of May 28, 2024 as Independence Day of Azerbaijan in Regina, and in issuing this proclamation, ask our citizens to recognize this day.”
