The non-resident ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Azerbaijan, Dipuo Berta Letsatsi-Dubau, commended Azerbaijan for its successful hosting of significant international events across various sectors, including politics, economy, culture, religion, and sports.
In a statement to the Türkiye bureau of Report, the ambassador highlighted Azerbaijan’s growing international reputation and its commendable achievements.
“Azerbaijan’s proactive role during its tenure as chair of the Non-Aligned Movement has garnered international acclaim,” said Letsatsi-Dubau.
She expressed confidence that the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will be a success and receive high praise for its outcomes.
To note that Azerbaijan will host COP29 in November of this year.
Additionally, Baku recently hosted the 9th Conference of the Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sports (COP9) on March 6.
