“The initial draft for the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia came from the Azerbaijani side. We are aware of the long history of the issue. There are lots of aspects in this matter,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov, as he addressed the press conference on the outcomes of 2023.
According to him, attempting to reach agreement on every detail could protract the process significantly.
“Our objective, instead, is to present and sign a foundational document establishing relations on the principles of universality and reciprocity for both parties,” Bayramov said.
According to him, the road leading to the peace treaty is open and there is a real chance to reach it.
