"The main feature that distinguishes the extraordinary presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024 from other elections held during the period of independence is that it covers the entire territory of the country."
Speaking to Sonxeber.az, MP Igbal Mammadov said this.
The deputy noted that as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War and the anti-terrorist measures of 2023, our territorial integrity was fully restored:
"The 44-day Patriotic War and the anti-terrorist measures of 2023 not only restored our territorial integrity, but also created conditions for the creation of stability and security in the region. Of course, there are forces that do not reconcile with the new realities emerging in the region. They want a fully independent country in the region and the Victory of Azerbaijan Strengthening the political system is of strategic importance in order to prevent the provocations of ignorant states. For this, it is necessary to have a strong leader. From this point of view, I think that we are very lucky to be citizens of a country ruled by a strong leader like Mr. President Ilham Aliyev. All the successes we have achieved today and the founder of victories is Mr. President Ilham Aliyev".
The deputy emphasized that when Mr. President Ilham Aliyev was first elected as the head of the country in 2003, he promised that sooner or later our tricolor flag would fly in all our lands:
"Today, our tricolor flag is flying in Khankend, Shusha, Khojaly, Lachin, Kalbajar and other regions. We owe all the victories we have achieved to the successful and visionary policy of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev. Today, Azerbaijan is a strong state that has a say in the region as a winning country.
By order of Mr. President, extraordinary presidential elections will be held in our country on February 7 next year. The extraordinary presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024 are important for us. Because the extraordinary presidential elections to be held on February 7, 2024 will cover the entire territory of the country. The most important thing is that after 30 years, our compatriots will vote in their native land.
