The trusting and friendly relations between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin, are the basis of the allied and strategic partnership between the countries, the stronghold of many years of cooperation, First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ali Huseynli said during a meeting of the interparliamentary commission on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia in Baku, Report informs.
“The increase in the number of mutual visits, mutual support in the international arena and jointly held events are further proof of this. It is gratifying that the 20th anniversary meeting of the commission is being held in the year of the 100th anniversary of the great leader Heydar Aliyev. Taking this opportunity, we once again thank our Russian colleagues for the high level of events in Russia dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the great leader,” Huseynli added.
