Western Azerbaijan Community: US congressmen should refrain from policy of creating geopolitical competition in the region

A group of US senators and congressmen addressed another slanderous accusations against Azerbaijan. The most absurd part of the joint letter accusing Azerbaijan of "aggression against Karabakh" is that the eight Azerbaijani villages that remain under occupation were referred to as "Armenian villages,” the Western Azerbaijan Community said in a statement.

“It is ironic that after Armenia stated its official position that eight villages belong to Azerbaijan, US congressmen and senators made such a statement.

We regard this as a clear example of illiteracy of congressmen and senators, their arrogance based on false "American exceptionalism", as well as Azerbaijanphobia and Islamophobia.

The agreement reached yesterday between Azerbaijan and Armenia through direct contacts demonstrates that the South Caucasus does not need the illiterate letters of US congressmen and senators, and they should abandon the policy of creating unnecessary geopolitical competition in the region,” the Community added.
