On May 12, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Azerbaijan Fergus Auld as the latter concludes his diplomatic tenure in the country.
Minister Bayramov hailed positive trajectory of bilateral relations and expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his dedicated efforts in strengthening these ties.
During the meeting, the sides held extensive discussions on the current state and future prospects of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom. Key topics of discussion included political dialogue, economy, energy security, green energy, trade, investment, education, humanitarian cooperation, and regional security issues.
Both parties emphasized that the existing dialogue, high-level mutual visits, and ongoing contacts, including political consultations, have significantly contributed to the advancement of bilateral relations.
The meeting also featured an exchange of views on the regional situation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia reconciliation process, and the large-scale restoration and reconstruction projects currently underway in the region during the post-conflict period. Other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest were also addressed.
Ambassador Fergus Auld expressed his sincere gratitude for the support provided to him throughout his tenure in Azerbaijan. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov wished the Ambassador continued success in his future endeavors.
