Georgian, Armenian PMs discuss cooperation, regional matters

Prospects of future cooperation between Georgia and Armenia were discussed in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and his Armenian counterpart Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, according to Agenda.ge.

 

The meeting noted the importance of the Forum, with the officials highlighting the discussions would create a “solid” basis for deeper cooperation in the future, the Government Administration said.

 

Garibashvili and Pashinyan also reviewed regional cooperation matters and stressed the need to “support peace and stability” in the South Caucasus.

 

The meeting also discussed cooperation in economy and the importance of “further development” of close trade and economic ties between the two countries.
