Azerbaijan’s State Service of Special Communication and Information Security, Central Bank ink MoU

Azerbaijan’s State Service of Special Communication and Information Security and the Central Bank of the country have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

 

The document was inked by Head of Azerbaijan’s State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, and the Chairman of the Central Bank Taleh Kazimov.

 

The MoU aims to facilitate the exchange of information between the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security and the Central Bank regarding incidents, cyberattacks, and other targeted attempts on the financial markets in the field of information security and cybersecurity related to their areas of operation, as well as enable the implementation of preventive measures.

 

The memorandum also envisages joint activities in creation and accreditation of the industry-specific "CERT" (Computer Emergency Response Team) for financial markets (FinCERT).

 

The document was signed during the first-ever cyber festival "CyberFest" held in Azerbaijan as part of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev".
