Azerbaijan, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Georgia are closely involved in the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative,” said Deputy head of the international relations department of China’s Central Committee of the Communist Party (CPC) Li Shijia at the meeting of the management of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the CPC with media representatives participating in the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Li Shijia pointed out that the institution cooperates with the ruling parties of other countries.

According to Li Shijia, China experienced challenges during the pandemic like the rest of the world. “There was a slight deterioration in relations with other countries during that period, and the cooperation with friendly countries in all fields expanded after a three-year break. The scale and scope of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation hosted by China these days is proof of this,” she added.

Li Shijia expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan, Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Georgia for their close involvement in the Belt and Road initiative and their support, adding that relations with these countries occupy an important place in China's foreign policy.
