Ambassador: Switzerland is keen to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the country Thomas Stähli.

 

The Swiss ambassador presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

 

The meeting revolved around the agenda of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Switzerland, covering political, economic, trade and a number of other areas, as well as cooperation within the international organizations and the current situation in the region.

 

The parties emphasized the importance of organizing high-level reciprocal visits, and conducting political dialogue and political consultations between the two countries on a regular basis.

 

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the anti-terrorist measures carried out in response to the provocations of the Armenian armed forces, as well as the reasons for conducting these measures. Speaking about Azerbaijan’s efforts towards reintegration of the local Armenian residents, the FM underscored that appropriate measures are being taken by Azerbaijan in this regard.

 

Ambassador Thomas Stähli noted that Switzerland is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas, adding that he would spare no efforts to contribute to development of bilateral relations during his diplomatic activity.
