The Museums of World Culture are now returning stolen art and culture to Nigeria and Bolivia after approval from the government on Thursday. According to the Teller Report, there are 39 objects originating from the Kingdom of Benin, present-day Nigeria with origins among the Edo people. And 84 objects that will be returned to the indigenous people of La Nación Kallawaya in Bolivia.

Nigerian cultural heritage can be traced to the British plundering of the then Kingdom of Benin and especially Benin City in 1897. The objects came to Sweden between 1898 and 1908 via Swedish and German patrons and the international art market.
