Kazakhstan supports the priorities of Azerbaijan's chairmanship in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu said, Report informs.
He noted that the forum, created on Kazakhstan's initiative, has become a full-fledged dialogue platform necessary for strengthening regional security and cooperation. Nurtleu also emphasized that Kazakhstan is ready to jointly continue work on transforming this forum into an international organization.
"In general, our agenda and all our positions coincide, and we provide constant support to each other. We have agreed to make efforts for the qualitative and timely implementation of agreements reached at a high level in trade, economic and investment spheres," Nurtleu noted.
He also expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution on establishing a UN regional center for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Almaty for Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, which was joined by 152 countries.
