Moldova to apply Azerbaijan’s DOST model

Azerbaijan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sahil Babayev has met with a delegation led by Director of the National Social Insurance Fund of the Republic of Moldova Elena Tibirna.

Speaking about the friendly relations between the two countries in various fields, Minister Sahil Babayev said that over the past period Azerbaijan has maintained an active cooperation with Moldova in the social field as well.

The minister highlighted the significance of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation signed last year between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and Moldovan Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.

Babayev provided insight into the reforms carried out recently in the fields of labor, employment and social protection in Azerbaijan, as well as the DOST concept, and the successes achieved towards the automation of providing services.

It was noted that the Moldovan side is interested in the implementation of the DOST concept and thus, the relevant work is being done on the mentioned Action Plan in order to apply this concept in Moldova, as well as to share Azerbaijan’s experience for digitalization of state social services.

Elena Tibirna hailed the successful cooperation and the active exchange of experience between the two institutions.

The sides also discussed prospects for future cooperation.

As part of its visit to Azerbaijan, the Moldovan delegation also held meetings at the DOST Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and other institutions, as well as familiarized themselves with the activity of DOST centers and viewed the process of providing services to the population.
