Italy is expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields of the non-oil sector, the representative of the Italian embassy in Azerbaijan, Ricardo Cursi told reporters on the sidelines of the event themed ‘Azerbaijan and Italy for better food production’ in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, Italian technologies are used in the production of beverages in Azerbaijan.

"The Italian company IVECO supplied ambulances to Azerbaijan, and the Ansaldo Energia company is currently engaged in the supply of turbines related to the production of electricity," Cursi added.

The diplomat emphasized that the majority of Italian fashion and design companies are operating in Azerbaijan: "Besides, there is also interest in the field of furniture."

Cursi also pointed out that in 2023, a contract was signed between Azerbaijan and Italy on the supply of tractors: "This shows the development of cooperation between the countries in the agricultural sector."
