From 1995 until July 1, 2023, Azerbaijan invested $19.9 billion in the Turkish economy, the Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, said at the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.
According to him, Türkiye ranks first in terms of the amount of Azerbaijan's investment in foreign countries: "This is a clear indicator of the development of investment partnership between our countries. It is encouraging that Türkiye tops the list of countries investing in the non-oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan."
Moreover, the minister noted that the trade turnover between the two countries in January–November 2023 settled above $7.2 billion, which is 33% more than the previous year.
