Azerbaijani fighters claim five medals at Savate World Cup

Young Azerbaijani fighters have captured five medals, including two golds in the Savate World Cup held in Weiz, the city of Austria.

 

The golds came from Aghamirza Mahmudbeyli and Alakbar Khanmammadov. Yasin Ibrahimov, Mahammad Suleymanov and Beyrak Baghirov grabbed bronze medals of the tournament.

 

Savate (also known as boxe française) is a French combat sport that uses the hands and feet as weapons combining elements of English boxing with graceful kicking techniques. It is a sport with a long history. It began in France in the 18th century.
