Employees of Russian TASS News Agency visited the AZERTAC news agency on Tuesday.

Vugar Aliyev, AZERTAC Chairman of Board, met with Irina Kovalyova, Editor of TASS news agency for the CIS countries and Anna Khoreva, Chief economist in the Department of Finance.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized that AZERTAC and TASS Agencies, which enjoy close relations, implement successful projects on many topics. Both agencies have established the exemplary ties within bilateral and international news organizations, which is evidenced by the staff exchange program that the two agencies have been implementing for many years. For this purpose, the employees of the agencies participate in jointly organized workshops every year. Such projects not only contribute to the exchange of experience between AZERTAC and TASS, but also pave the way for maintaining close contacts between the internal departments.

During the meeting, the TASS delegation was also informed about the news production at AZERTAC, as well as the agency’s foreign correspondent network.

The parties also exchanged views on media and journalism.
