As part of her visit to Uzbekistan, Sadagat Gahramanova, Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of Azerbaijan, met with Belén Sanz, UN Women Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
The meeting focused on strengthening institutional mechanisms for the protection of women’s rights, preventing violence against women, and improving legal protection systems.
The sides also held an extensive exchange of views on women’s empowerment and enhancing their economic participation.
The meeting continued with discussions on cooperation prospects and other issues of mutual interest.
