Joint actions of Turkic states are important to reduce the negative impact of climate change on the healthcare system, Guldara Nurumova, member of the Committee on Social and Cultural Development of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan's Parliament, said at the 2nd meeting of healthcare committee chairs of parliaments of member countries of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA).

She noted that first of all, it is necessary to improve the knowledge and skills of medical personnel in these states:

"It is necessary to strengthen cooperation between the relevant committees of parliaments of TURKPA member countries. The public should also be sufficiently informed about the impact of climate change on health. At the same time, it is very important to develop early warning systems for natural disasters."
