Deputy Israeli ambassador completes mission in Azerbaijan

Deputy Ambassador of Israel to Baku, Yoav Bistritsky, has announced the completion of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan, according to Report.

"Two years. It’s been an amazing journey. With so many experiences and friendships. A piece of me will always belong to Azerbaijan.Thank you Baku for your hospitality being my second home. Endless gratitude to all those who participated in writing this chapter of my life," he said on X.

He also expressed gratitude to former Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek and the embassy staff.

Bistritsky further announced his new appointment but did not disclose details of his upcoming diplomatic work.

"I thank former Ambassador George Deek and our devoted team in the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan for their efforts and attention to build the strong ties between our countries. I’m already preparing for my next mission. Coming soon," he said.

It should be noted that on August 1, 2025, the new Israeli Ambassador to Baku, Ronen Krauzs, presented copies of his credentials to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
