Employees of the main military department of Armenia’s Investigative Committee may receive the right to carry combat assault rifles, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
The corresponding amendments to the law “On the circulation of weapons” were adopted at a meeting of the parliamentary commission on defense and security.
During the meeting, Deputy Head of the Interior Ministry Arpine Sargsyan said that this is related to the specifics of the work of military investigators.
The document is to be discussed at the plenary session of the National Assembly of Armenia.
