The EU countries must come to a common position on the conflict between Israel and Palestine in order to play a role in its resolution, Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo said upon his arrival at the EU summit, Report informs referring to TASS.
“The situation in Israel has deteriorated dramatically since the last EU summit in October. Human suffering must end on both sides. The hostages must be released and humanitarian access must be fully opened up. The fighting must cease. If we, Europeans, are to play a role in resolving this conflict, we need to reach a common position,” he noted.
