From March 2022 until the end of 2024, a total of 1,897,588 citizens of Russia and Ukraine have come to Azerbaijan, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan told Report.
The committee stated that in 2022, 446,712 people from Russia and 27,741 people from Ukraine entered the country.
In 2023, there was a sharp increase in the number of arrivals from Russia to Azerbaijan. The number of Russian citizens entering the country increased by more than 200,000, reaching 624,753 people. Meanwhile, 31,267 Ukrainian citizens entered Azerbaijan.
In the past year, 730,971 Russian citizens and 36,144 Ukrainian citizens entered Azerbaijan.
The war between Russia and Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
