A landmine explosion occurred on July 10 in the village of Hasangaya, located in Azerbaijan’s Aghdara district, according to a joint statement issued by the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).

The statement said that Guluyev Gulu Tufan oghlu, born in 1979, sustained a leg injury after stepping on a landmine while grazing livestock in a previously demined area of the village.

The incident is currently being investigated by the Tartar District Prosecutor’s Office.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again urge citizens to follow safety regulations, pay attention to mine-warning signs, and avoid unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas.
