An Azerbaijani delegation led by Elchin Rzayev, Head of the Imishli District Executive Authority, participated as honored guests in the 64th International Flower Festival held in Uzbekistan. The visit took place at the official invitation of the Uzbek side.

The delegation visited the park named after National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Tashkent and paid respects by laying flowers at his monument.

Subsequently, the delegation held a meeting with Shavkat Abdurazakov, hokim of Namangan Province. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in economic, social, and cultural spheres. They emphasized that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, rooted in shared history, ethnic, and moral values, serves as an exemplary model of regional cooperation. In this context, the development of mutual cooperation between Imishli District and Namangan Province was highlighted as particularly significant. The discussions also covered the implementation status of a contract signed on July 12, 2024, between Uzbekistan’s “TST Textile Group” LLC and the Imishli District Executive Authority. Under this agreement, 5,826 hectares of agricultural land have been leased long-term to the company for cotton cultivation, processing, and the establishment of a cotton oil factory. The meeting included an extensive exchange of views on ongoing work in this area, the phased implementation of the project, and future cooperation opportunities.

On the following day, the delegation attended the 64th International Flower Festival in Namangan. During the festival, they explored stunning flower arrangements and decorative art exhibits from various countries, as well as a rich cultural program. The unique flower displays and aesthetically curated expositions left a lasting impression on the participants.
