The editor-in-chief of the international “My Azerbaijan” magazine, academician of the International Academy of Sciences Emil Nasirli has been accepted as a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus. During a meeting held at the administrative building of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Azerbaijan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan, Andrei Ravkov, presented Emil Nasirli with a membership certificate of the Union of Writers of Belarus.
In his speech, Ambassador Andrei Ravkov noted that after Emil Nasirli’s book about the life and work of Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev appeared in the sales network in Minsk, the Belarusian press showed significant interest in the new author. The activities of the international “My Azerbaijan” magazine the editor-in-chief of which Emil Nasirli were also highly appreciated, as well as the regular publication of interesting materials about Belarus on its pages. These publications have helped promote Azerbaijan in Belarus and Belarus in Azerbaijan. Later, Ambassador Andrei Ravkov expressed confidence that Emil Nasirli would continue to contribute to the development of literary ties between Belarus and Azerbaijan.
Emil Nasirli, in his address, thanked the Chairman of the Union of Writers of Belarus, Alexander Nikolaevich Karlyukevich, the Union's staff, and Andrei Ravkov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan for awarding him this high honor. He emphasized that, when evaluating the dynamics of relations between the two countries, it becomes evident that Belarus-Azerbaijan relations, which cover various sectors, are based on mutually beneficial cooperation and are developing successfully. He pointed out that sincere friendship, mutual trust, and dialogue between the heads of state play a crucial role in the development of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Belarus. Personal and wide meetings between the leaders of the two countries clearly demonstrate that the countries are friendly partners, and their relations are dynamically developing.
“The key issue is the friendly relations between our countries. For many years, these relations have shown great potential and positive dynamics. Frequent high-level contacts, mutual visits, of course, provide a strong impetus for the development of our relations, and we see successful examples of cooperation,” noted Emil Nasirli.
During the meeting, the editor-in-chief of “My Azerbaijan” magazine Emil Nasirli, also spoke in detail about the importance of the journal’s international connections and the projects implemented by the editorial team. As a member of the Union of Writers of Azerbaijan, as well as a member of the Writers' Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, Emil Nasirli emphasized the importance of developing cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus. He also shared a wealth of opinions on issues of mutual interest, underlining the significance of implementing joint projects.
