The center of Kyiv has experienced its first drone attack, severely damaging the building where Rashad Taghiyev, an Azerbaijani native originally from the Lachin district, resides. The attack, which occurred in the early morning hours, left Taghiyev and his wife narrowly escaping harm, but their apartment was completely destroyed.

Report's correspondent has visited the demolished residence and office of the Azerbaijani national.

Taghiyev, a prominent diaspora activist involved in humanitarian aid delivery, recounted the harrowing experience: "We woke up to the sound of drone attacks. I live on the first floor, or rather, I used to. My wife and I survived by sheer luck. We quickly sought refuge in the hallway and bathroom of our apartment when the alarm went off."

The couple's office, located in an adjacent building and used for their humanitarian fund, was also destroyed in the attack. Many people in the area were injured, but Taghiyev and his wife miraculously survived. However, their building is now utterly destroyed and uninhabitable.
