UK House of Lords’ members address conference on "Azerbaijan’s strategic importance in COP29 and its role in fostering international collaboration"

Members of the UK House of Lords Darren James Mott, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Conservative Party, and Iain Mackenzie McNicol, former General Secretary of the Labour Party, have visited Baku at the invitation of Tahir Gozel, President of Qarabag football club, to address a conference themed "Azerbaijan’s strategic importance in COP29 and its role in fostering international collaboration" organized at ADA University.

The conference also included speeches by Rebecca Nadin, Director of Global Risks and Resilience (GRR) team at Oversees Development Institute (ODI).

During the event, the discussions focused on Azerbaijan's strategic importance at COP29, its role in the development of international collaboration.

Lord Mackenzie McNicol and Darren James Mott emphasized that they were pleased to visit Azerbaijan, the host country of COP29, expressing their gratitude for the country’s contribution to tackling climate change.
