Today, the main investment projects are focused on Karabakh and East Zangezur. Rapid reconstruction and restoration efforts are well underway in the territories liberated from occupation with the direct participation and supervision of the President, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said during his remarks on the Cabinet’s 2024 report at the Milli Majlis session on Friday.
"In general, since 2020, including 2026, more than 25 billion manats have been allocated from the budget for the restoration of the territories liberated from occupation. (2026 - 3.5 billion manats). The majority of these funds have been channeled towards infrastructure projects. In next year’s state budget, defense and national security expenditures account for approximately 21 percent, or 8.7 billion manats, of total budget spending. Today, the military industry in Azerbaijan is developing rapidly. We already export military products to many countries. The President has set the task before the government to create an industrial cluster to meet both domestic demand and export. Appropriate measures are already being undertaken in this direction,” Azerbaijani Prime Minister noted.
