PM Ali Asadov: Azerbaijani President’s foreign visits and high-level meetings injected new dynamism into country’s economic agenda

The forthcoming medium-term period, covering 2026–2029, establishes new strategic challenges and goals for the country in terms of current development trends, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov as he addressed the plenary session of the Milli Majlis held on December 9.

Emphasizing that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s foreign visits and high-level meetings during the past period of 2025, have injected new dynamism into the country’s economic agenda, PM Ali Asadov added: “The documents signed during President Ilham Aliyev's historic visit to the United States on August 8, 2025, including the agreement on an unimpeded transport route connecting Azerbaijan’s mainland with Nakhchivan, will contribute to ensuring lasting peace, enabling transit opportunities for international cargo transportation, and promoting economic development in the region. Achievements attained during this period allow us to maintain economic stability and sustainability, attract new investments, and further strengthen the role and position of the country in the international arena.”
