During his official visit to Serbia, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made a solemn stop at the memorial in Belgrade dedicated to the victims of NATO's bombing campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999.

In a social media post on X, Minister Bayramov expressed his heartfelt condolences.

"With a pain in our hearts, we visited and laid flowers at monument dedicated to the memory of the child victims of 1999 bombings. Aggression against civilians, particularly children is unacceptable, all those responsible for these heinous crimes must be held accountable," the minister said.

In a related development, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic bestowed upon Minister Bayramov the Order of the Serbian Flag, 1st Class - the country's highest honor - at a reception held on February 16 at the Serbian Palace to mark Serbia's Statehood Day.
