London hosts Azerbaijan-Türkiye fraternal evening
On the eve of Azerbaijan’s Victory Day, celebrated on November 8, the Azerbaijani Embassy in the UK hosted the Azerbaijan-Türkiye fraternal evening.
The gathering brought together dignitaries, including Osman Koray Ertaş, Turkish Ambassador to the UK, representatives from both Azerbaijani and Turkish communities, Çimen Keskin, TRNC Representative to London, and Nesil Çalışkan, a member of the UK House of Commons, as an honored guest.
In his address, Azerbaijani Ambassador Elin Suleymanov extended congratulations to Azerbaijanis for Victory Day, describing it as a moment of pride for the entire Turkic world. He highlighted the significance of this day in Azerbaijan’s modern history, attributing the victory to Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, and to the people of Azerbaijan. Ambassador Suleymanov also paid tribute to Azerbaijan’s martyrs and wished good health to the war veterans.
The ambassador extended his congratulations to the Turkish community for the Republic Day, celebrated on October 29, underscoring the strong bonds between Türkiye and Azerbaijan.
Turkish Ambassador Osman Koray Ertaş expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani Embassy for organizing the fraternal event and congratulated the Azerbaijani community on their Victory Day. He affirmed the eternal and unbreakable brotherhood between the two nations.
The evening included a piano performance by Turan Manafzade, an honored artist of Azerbaijan.
