For the people of Azerbaijan, the parliamentary elections were a holiday, they were organized at the highest level, and transparency was ensured, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Khomenko said at a press conference on September 2, Report informs.
He expressed hope that relations with the newly elected parliament of Azerbaijan will be good: "The relations between the Azerbaijani and Belarusian parliaments have always been close, and I hope that this tradition will be continued."
He noted that the delegation of observers from Belarus was represented by 14 delegates. They visited various regions of Azerbaijan, and he personally visited Shusha, Khankandi and Fuzuli, he said.
